ABOUT US
LIZ & DEVINDER
Liz and Devinder from In2Cultures are an award winning creative arts team. In 2017 they were honoured with three awards for their multicultural work in education and the community. In February they won Educator of the Year at the Pride of Stratford Awards, and in June, followed this up with the same award at the Pride of Warwick District celebrations. In September they were honoured to receive the prestigious Cultural Education Award at the Coventry and Warwickshire Tourism and Culture Awards. In2Cultures other achievements include their Bhangra dance team, Suruj, receiving an award from the House of Commons for promoting Punjabi culture in this country.

Both Liz and Devinder have a passion for African percussion and multicultural creative arts, and love sharing their knowledge and expertise with everyone they work with.  They run weekly workshops for African drumming and Bhangra dancing in Stratford and Leamington Spa.

Their dance and drumming performance and workshop highlights include the House of Commons, the American Embassy, the Coventry Cohesion Awards, the Lunar Festival, the Stratford Mayor’s Charity Ball and a Curry Festival in Spain.  They have also worked with the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust as part of their Crossing Borders project, and with the RSC to deliver a workshop using African drumming and Shakespeare’s language. In2Cultures organises highly successful Youth Showcases around Warwickshire involving schools and community groups. Their charity work is important to them and they support the Guide Dogs Association, GAGA UK and the world famous African Children’s Choir.
